Privacy Policy
Effective October 16, 2026
pIQued is operated by [Operator legal name] (“we”). This policy explains what we collect, what is public, and how to delete it. Questions: [contact email].
What we collect
- When you sign in with Google or Apple: your email address, and the name and profile photo your account provides. Apple lets you hide your email; if you do, we receive a private relay address instead.
- What you give us: your username and bio, your answers to the test, the posts and comments you write (including any images you upload), your votes, who you follow, and any reports or blocks you make.
- What we calculate: your IQ score, section (Big Brains, Mid-Curve or Slow Zone) and category sub-scores, from your test answers.
- Technical data: our hosting and database providers record IP addresses, device and browser details, and request times, for security and to keep the service running.
We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs, we do not collect your location, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
What is public
pIQued is built around a public score. Anyone using the app can see your username, bio, profile photo, IQ score and section, and the posts and comments you write. Your category sub-scores are private unless you choose to show them in Settings. Who you have blocked, and anything you report, is never shown to anyone else.
How we use it
- To run the app: sign you in, score your test, place you in a section, and show feeds and threads.
- To keep it safe: review reports, apply blocks, and prevent abuse, cheating and spam.
- To secure the service and fix problems.
- To contact you about your account when necessary.
We never sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that run the app on our behalf, and only as needed to do so:
- Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage, hosted in the United States.
- Vercel: hosting for the app and website.
- Google and Apple: only to sign you in, if you choose them.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the app: open your profile, tap the settings gear, then Delete account.
Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, IQ score and test results, your posts and the images in them, your votes, and who you follow. Your comments are not removed but anonymized: the text is replaced with “[deleted]” and your name and score are detached, so that other people's replies to them stay readable. Deleted data may remain in routine backups for a limited period before they are overwritten.
Your choices
- Edit your profile and bio at any time.
- Show or hide your sub-scores in Settings.
- Block anyone, or report content, from the ⋯ menu.
- Delete your account from inside the app, as described above.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it, by contacting [contact email]. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law, such as the GDPR or California privacy law, and you can exercise them the same way.
Children
pIQued is not for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact [contact email] and we will delete it.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, and the database enforces access rules on every request, so each person can only change their own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect yours.
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored and processed in the United States. If you use pIQued from elsewhere, your information will be transferred there.
Changes
We will update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes, and tell you in the app before any change that materially affects how your data is used.
